So I've recently noticed that the majority of my Pokemon are female.. What does that say about me as a person? Ahaha, but yeah I made this thread because it seems that a lot of people tend to aim towards more male or more female Pokemon for whatever reason. So I'd like to ask, is your team more male, more female or somewhere in the middle? Do they even HAVE genders?

Out of my 24 lv 100 Pokemon that I use for battling: 15 Male 6 Unknown 3 Female
I use male mostly as the ones I use look male.

Hummm I dunno. When I play the games through, I just get pokemon as I see them. So if I see a mareep and go "ooh yes I'd like a mareep", then I'll just catch it. And notice the gender later xD I do try for balanced teams, but eh.. my White team was mainly male (5:1), my Emerald team was mainly female (4:2) and my Soulsilver team is balanced.
When I'm breeding a specific pokemon to train though, I'll pick a gender that suits it. Or sometimes I go for the opposite gender that it might 'typically' be. So for example: female golem, female blaziken, male altaria.
Interesting idea for a thread though!

Usually I'm like Goanna. I like it to be balanced but I don't fuss too much. But if I'm out searching for a Pokemon I'll go looking for a male or female depending on how I see it. Say... Seviper, at the moment I'd want a female one. Same for Emolga. But I prefer Scrafty as male. It varies for me. Yeah I just thought of three random Pokemon...

Well I'm like Goanna as well. But sometimes I'll have a character idea for the pokémon I'm trying to catch, so I'll go catching until I get the gender I want. But at the same time I usually prefer to have female pokémon! Not quite sure why though xD

I'm the same as Goanna too. I honestly don't care much wether they be male, female or genderless. Although sometimes if I see a Pokemon and a character comes to mind then I do aim for a certain gender so I can create that character, or if I find a nickname for a Pokemon I really like I'll catch that gender for that name. Or now with the different looks between certain male and female forms in Pokemon, if I really like one better then the other I'll try for that gender, (Like male hippowdon, because I love the yellow and black combo.) But thats only some times, and I try to limit myself cos I hate having to many of one gender in my team, it's only a small thing but I sometimes anoys me xD

me and my friend generally aim for females. And in Pearl version my party is this in genders: 2 females 2 males 2 legendaries.
