Hello everyone,
the forum is going to need several staff members other than myself to keep it running smoothly. So the following is the list of staff positions currently available.
To apply for a position please send me a message with the title "Applying for [replace with staff position]". There is no application form, basically you must "impress me" by letting me know why you want the position and why you think you deserve it. Please be aware that these are not paid positions.
List of positions:
Moderator
Moderators must keep the board content clean and appropriate. They can move, edit and delete topics, and higher level moderators will be able to ban rule-breaking users. They may also have to answer questions from new members, or people having trouble finding their way around, etc. They must be active, patient, and have a good sense of judgement.
Current mods: Kenks
Roleplay moderator
Roleplaying mods only deal with the roleplaying section of the boards. They keep things fair and sort out scuffles when it comes to power-playing, for example. They basically serve as "referees". A good knowledge of roleplaying is required, and I probably won't need too many of these as of yet.
Contest organiser
I'll need several contest organisers, probably two or three for the separate categories (random, and battles). The organising team must each month, create, judge and manage the contests, including organising and distributing prizes. You can apply to be a "random contest organiser", or a "battle contest organiser". (Note: I will probably help out with the random contests).
Current organisers:
Random: Goanna
Battle: Warbear777
Celebration Committee member
The celebration committee will send welcome messages to new members, and happy birthday messages to those with birthdays. They will be there to answer any questions for members.
News Reporter
News reporters will have to keep on track of the latest Pokemon news that is related to Australia only (so, no general news that you could find on bulbapedia etc). Examples of such news items might be upcoming events in Australia, etc. News reporters must be on top of things and able to find out reliable information quickly to share it with the rest of us! There will be a board made for news posts related to Australian Pokemon information to be posted, where the news reporters can put their latest discoveries.
